As a show approaching middle age NCIS could be said to be a complete success. But how much can a critic invest in a show whose very title can be rearranged to show the title of the TV series that it stole its central idea from. Whatever the comparisons that ca be made to CSI there's little doubt that NCIS is generally more entertaining than than either CSI Miami or CSI New York although Miami still has more interesting story arcs for its central characters.
Still, if quirkiness alone doesn't make for a must-watch TV experience then at least NCIS continues to play well with the elements that make watching it an awful lot of fun. And the truth is, for a show with so many twists and turns, the plotting is up to snuff with almost anything on TV. Special features include select episode cast and crew commentaries, something called Fear: A DVD Exclusive and two featurettes: Bodies of Work, and Starting with a Bang.

Oh my. I am very disappointed to find that the writers of this blog, who usually have such great taste in movies, have horrid taste in television. This show is just awful.
