When we ran the first images from Serbian director Petar Pasic's upcoming live action / animation fusion Of Bugs And Heroes our general feeling was that if he could make his six legged stars look as good in motion as they do when still then he could have something very special on his hands.
And they do. Oh, yes. They very definitely do.
A sort of dark love story following both the inhabitants of an apartment complex and the bugs who live in their walls this is a bit of a slippery one, refusing to ever quite go where you expect and looking all the better for that. The blending of the two worlds looks very strong as does the surprisingly dark turn that the human worlds twists into by the end of the trailer.
I won't spoil things by describing them here, just go ahead and take a look.

Looks better then Joe's Apartment (1996) but is it better then the awesomeness of Phase IV (1974) directed by Saul Bass...?
