If so, success!
Here's the thing about the Hunger Games movie: Everything about it so far looks cheap and poorly designed. Here's the other thing: It may not matter.
While I consider it increasingly unlikely that the promotional campaign for The Hunger Games is going to draw anyone to theaters who is not already a fan of the books that was equally true for Twilight. And if The Boy - a ten year old who discovered the Hunger Games book over the past year - is any sort of accurate representation of the book fanbase, everybody who has read them is going to be there in the opening week. Given that there are now 23.5 million copies of books from the trilogy - so about eight million per volume - now in print in the US that's a lot of tickets sold. Especially when you add in the parents - like me - who will be taking their children to see it.
So, there you go. It doesn't really matter if the trailer looks good. Judge for yourself whether it does down below.

Means to an end, my friend, means to an end.
It looks pretty much how I envisioned it when I read the books. As long as they don't bungle the actual fighting parts of the book this is going to walk the fine line of Teen-drama / Fairly Graphic Adult Action. Also if you are alluding to how the people "look" in the big city they are suppose to look over the top/exaggerated, its like if you took all the mega rich and put them in their own city and let them run wild with unlimited amounts of cash.
I heartily agree with Todd. This film looked flimsy to me from day one. Under dressed sets, store-bought costumes and a quick film schedule is quite noticeable.
why has no one mentioned this a carbon copy of Battle Royale yet???
This is what Battle Royale would like if Battle Royale were stupid and American.
