Saif Ali Khan's Second AGENT VINOD Trailer Punches Evil In The Face!

by J Hurtado, February 22, 2012 9:15 PM

Agent Vinod is Saif Ali Khan's big marquee release for 2012 after a lackluster couple of years. The film has been in the works for a while now, and in spite of several delays it finally seems to have landed on a release date this April. A few weeks back we got our first look at this long gestating project and I thought it was decent, but I really like the new look we're given from this second trailer.

In a savvy bit of somewhat premature cross promotion, Saif Ali Khan was arrested last night after a party during which he punched an NRI (non-resident Indian) business man square in the face. He issued the following statement, in which he insists he was defending the honor of himself and his guests:
"There was an ugly incident last night where my friend and the ladies with us were abused and I was assaulted. I was hit and I was only defending myself."
Who the fuck knows what really happened, though this is reminiscent of the case a few weeks ago following the Filmfare awards in which superstar Shah Rukh Khan was caught slapping (really SRK?) the shit out of a journalist who'd tweeted mean things about Ra.One. Whether the tweets and the slap fight were related remains a mystery.

In Saif Ali Khan's case, he just kind of seems like a hot head in general, so I don't doubt he felt threatened. Although, if I were going to lose my shit, I'd probably wait until a little bit closer to the release date of my film, no press is bad press after all...

Enjoy the second trailer for Agent Vinod.

I stunt coordinated for Saif on Love Aaj Kaal and he was one of the most level-headed dudes I've ever met. He's an actor who can fight, and he's not afraid of punching someone in the face. Americans are scared to death of doing this. Glad that Saif's got some balls.

Thanks for the comment and first hand report! Have you worked on any other Indian productions. These days they do a lot more stunt work with stunt men, though not nearly as many doubles as in Hollywood features.
