British comic Richard Ayoade - best known on these shores for his role on The IT Crowd - made a huge impression with his debut feature Submarine. While waiting for his next feature to take flight Ayoade has put in a directing stint on Community whilst bumming around with new friend Ben Stiller but time waits for no man and things are now gearing up for feature number two.
As reported back in August Ayoade's next will be The Double, an adaptation of the Dostoevsky story to star Jesse Eisenberg as a lowly government clerk who encounters his own doppelganger.
With the shoot gearing up for a spring start Deadline is now reporting that Mia Wasikowska has now also joined the cast, adding to a very busy slate for the young actress. there is no word on what role Wasikowska will fill.
