Gary Oldman is reuniting with Book Of Eli co-director Albert Hughes to play the villain of Hughes' solo effort Motor City.
Based on the Black List script by Chad St John, Motor City is a revenge picture that will reportedly play out almost entirely without dialogue. Chris Evans was offered the lead role at one point, but that eventually went to Dominic Cooper with Amber Heard as the female lead.
As an interesting side-point to the casting news is that Oldman recently turned down a key support role in the proposed live action adaptation of Akira - a film that Hughes was, for a long time, attached to direct, meaning that Hughes may have just nicked the actor from his old project to star in his new one.
