Given the simple but compelling premise it almost seemed inevitable that Dutch thriller Taped would be picked up for English language remake but I doubt anybody expected it to happen quite this fast.
Still in its first week of release in The Netherlands, Taped has had its remake rights snapped up by Columbia Pictures who will put together an English language version with the original producers NL Films on as Executive Producers.
The story of a couple on vacation in Argentina who accidentally videotape the murder of a man by a police officer and have to go on the run, I can see this very easily attracted top flight talent. Check the trailer below for a taste.
