And like that, the 20th century model of "Television", the one of our childhoods, is pretty much put to bed. Let it sleep a peaceful sleep, for it has got us this far.
Variety broke the news late tonight that 20th Century Fox Television and Netflix have come to a deal which will bring back the much beloved but low-rated Arrested Development; the show, that from 2003 - 2006, chronicled the zany adventures of Michael Bluth and his self-obsessed family. A set of episodes (show creator Mitch Hurwitz stated recently it could be 10) will air in early 2013, prior to a possible jump to the big screen.
Surprising news? Well, considering Hurwitz and various cast members have been telling the world for years that the Bluths would make some kind of return in the future, not really. Is this good news? Are you kidding... hell yes! Me thinks it is near time for series composers David Schwartz and Gabriel Mann to parody a little ditty that goes... "The Bluths are back in town!"
