It's very easy to poke fun at Ong Bak director Prachya Pinkaew's films for their simplistic and repetitive storylines. He's done the same basic thing three times now, after all - bad guys steal important object, good guys fight to get it back - but the reality is that Pikaew isn't all that interested in telling stories in the first place. His movies are about showcasing the physical abilities of their stars. And he's got a whole bunch of people capable of doing a whole lot of jaw-dropping stuff in The Kick.

Moon is a Taekwondo master running an old Taekwondo gym in Bangkok. All five members of his family are also the masters of Taekwondo in different styles: his wife Yoon in cooking style, son Taeju in dancing style, daughter Taemi in soccer style, and the youngest Typhoon can break anything with his strong forehead.

Moon wants his children to be Taekwondo coaches to take over his gym in future. However, regardless of their father's will, Taeju wants to be a famous pop singer and Taemi is only interested in her secret crush at school.

One day, Taekwon family encounters treasure robbers on the street by accident and happens to get caught into fight with them. With surprising martial art skills, TK family knocks down the robbers and takes back the stolen treasures. The head of the robbers Pom, who is notorious for many crimes, escapes alone and trembles with rage.

TK family becomes famous in public. But, They do not know that Pom is planning to get his revenge.
Though there is no embeddable version available yet a streaming version of the film's full Korean trailer has arrived online at Naver and it features the highest production values and some of the most astounding stunt work of director Prachya Pinkaew's career. And when you're talking about the director of Ong Bak, Tom Yum Goong and Chocolate, that's saying something. You can find the trailer here.

good fights but i me more triple turning kicks and less new fighting attack moves:/

all I care about is this movie to have a good storyline, a movie having mindless action gets very boring.

Damn, the trailer ain't playing for me at that site. Maybe I'm missing a plug-in to get it to work. I'll wait and keep my eye out for another video source.

you can see it here on my blog....http://asiancultcinema-drees5761.blogspot.com/

Kinda bland looking. I realize the point is the action, but I find this gymnastics oriented fighting to be a bit tired and sort of lacking visceral satisfaction.

Not impressed. Some pretty acrobatic kicks but looks very staged as the opponents put themselves in his feet trajectory. Rittikrai will make Jaa or Chupong knock him out before he finish that triple turn kick (I'm talking about the choreography not individual expertise).

And yes, since Pinkaew made Ong Bak and Chocolate, I have high expectation in its fight choreography. However, Jija's scene looks ok and she's look hot and dangerous :).

Oh, I do hope the story is good.
