Another hit coming out of this year's Sundance, Sean Durkin's Martha Marcy May Marlene is edging its way towards its showing at TIFF and then onto a limited US theatrical release in October. In the lead up to that, and following on from the two most recent trailers, Empire has premiered a brand new trailer and poster for the film which you can view below.
The film stars the likes of Elizabeth Olsen (who has been getting amazing buzz for her performance), John Hawkes (Winter's Bone), Hugh Dancy (Our Idiot Brother), Sarah Paulson (Serenity) and Brady Corbet (Funny Games US). The plot follows a young woman (Olsen), haunted by troubling memories and paranoia, as she tries to re-assimilate with her family after a life in a cult. Dark stuff, indeed.
Watch the brand new trailer for the film below, along with the rather striking poster. Martha Marcy May Marlene is set for a release in the US on October 21st, with a UK release following a few months later on February 3rd, 2012.
