The folks at Magnet Releasing appear to have a thing for Ti West.
Back in the days when West's House of the Devil was winning raves Magnet struck a sort of hybrid deal with producers MPI / Dark Sky with the latter handling the DVD release of the film themselves while Magnet gave the film a limited theatrical release and put it out on VOD. Apparently that worked out rather well for all involved and The Hollywood Reporter are bringing word that all involved are gearing it up to do it again.
Magnet are taking on theatrical and VOD rights for Ti West's The Innkeepers with MPI again keeping DVD for themselves. The VOD release will come in December with theatrical screenings in major markets following in February 2012.

Dang, was really hoping to finally see this around Halloween...can't believe how long they've been sitting on this film.
