Korean animator Yeun Sang-ho makes his feature debut with King Of Pigs. About to premiere at the Busan International Film Festival the film features Breathless writer-director-star Yang Ik-jun among its voice cast and is sure to draw attention for what appears to be an unrelentingly bleak approach to its story.
The festival describes the film like this:
Following on the success of [Leafie], [The King of the Pigs] is expected to become another meaningful animated film in 2011. A rare commodity for adults, its bleak vision extends from its striking visual style to its rather grim themes. A disturbing reflection of contemporary society, the film promises to challenge and entertain audiences both at home and abroad.
Ugly and violent, check the trailer for the film below.

This film has been a long time coming... and I'm glad that it's premiere is going to take place at a big film festival, before it's theatrical release. Korean features pretty much never fare well at the local box office. LEAFIE: A HEN INTO THE WILD had the advantage of being an adaptation of a million-plus copy selling children's book. Audiences were already, well familiar with the property upon release.
Is there a particular reason why that poster looks exactly like Straw Dogs?
