Fantastic Fest attendees: Should you be present at the 9:15pm screening of Penumbra on September 25th there will be a wee treat in store for you. Bubba Ho-Tep and Phantasm director Don Coscarelli will be on hand to premiere the first footage from his upcoming feature adaptation of David Wong's novel John Dies At The End.
Wong's novel is a brilliant bit of work that flits easily between comedy and horror, high concept and stunned stoners. It flits between dimensions and timelines thanks to a drug known as the Soy Sauce and it should make for an absolutely fabulous film. Coscarelli's certainly got a great cast on board with Paul Giamatti, Clancy Brown, Angus Scrimm, and Doug Jones all in there.
