There can be only one complaint made about Guillaume Ivernel's upcoming animated feature Soul Man: It's not done yet. Starting from a blaxploitation base with scifi action piled on top this is slick, stylish, very fun stuff with absolutely fantastic production values. Ivernel released a first teaser for the project back in March, one designed to spur further investment so that the project could move ahead, and he's followed that up now with a new, longer tease that you can see below. He promises an eight minute pilot / proof of concept soon. Yes, please.
Very nice animation. Stephenson's Snowcrash would look fantastic in this cyberpunk style. Dragonhunters was pretty spectacular too, Ivernel is top quality.
