No offense to Daniel Craig but the driving question behind most James Bond films is not who will be playing Bond himself but who will be the often deadly and always alluring female leads next to him. The Bond Girl is one of the most iconic roles in all of film, one littered with high profile misfires - Denise Richards, Madonna and Halle Berry in recent years - and star making turns from young unknowns.
Producers have opted to go the latter route with the casting for Sam Mendes' upcoming, still untitled 23rd Bond film.
Sources tell Twitch that Berenice Marlohe has been cast opposite Daniel Craig in Mendes' upcoming installment of the long-standing franchise. A young French actress currently making the transition from television to film - she is currently filming Un bonheur n'arrive jamais seul with Lucky Luke and Hellphone director James Huth - while the photo above provides ample evidence as to why she would be of interest to the Bond team. Bond 23 is currently in pre-production.
