Watch This Brand New Trailer For FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE!

Last month we brought you an early teaser for Tsui Hark's latest film FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE. Admittedly, the quality wasn't great, but the style and action certainly got many of us excited. Of course, the collaboration between Tsui and Jet Li, the first since their ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA films, is also a great reason for the anticipation of this film.

The film stars Jet Li, Chen Kun, Zhou Xun, Louis Fan Siu-wong, Kwai Lun-mei, Mavis Fan and Li Yu-chun, and tells the story of the struggle between a Ming Dynasty general (played by Jet Li) and his rival, a powerful eunuch (played by Chen Kun). Tsui Hark directed and also wrote the script, which is a retelling of the story of his 1992 classic NEW DRAGON GATE INN.

Shot in 3D, FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE is scheduled for release in December this year.

Wow, that looks *gorgeous*. I can´t wait to see this - Tsui Hark seems to be back in good old ´90s style. First Detective Dee and now this; I´m in wuxia heaven! Just about the only downside is that my old wound is flaring up again and I start yearning for the sequel to Seven Swords that never was.

It's just been announced that the film will screen in IMAX when it opens in China & HK this December. I'll try and get some information about how much of the film has been shot on the format, although as there has been no mention of it until now, probably not a great deal.

i don't think this movie will be that good.

it emphasis seems to be focusing more on visuals and 3D effect:/

screw that man, the New Dragon Tiger Gate with Donnie as Villian is still the better version>:/
