Evan Glodell's Bellflower is proving to be a divisive one. Some are hailing it as the indie of the year and the arrival of a major new voice on the scene. Others flat out hate it. For an example of each you need only check out the sharply split opinions of our own Charles Webb - on the negative side - and Ryland Aldrich - on the positive side - in their respective reviews here on Twitch.

But with the film now out in limited release - New York and LA today with more to come in the future - now is the time for audiences to make their own decisions. And to entice them to do so the distributor has released another clip of the picture online. As has been the case with all of the marketing so far this focuses on the cultier side of the picture with the relationship drama that is its actual core pretty much ignored. But hey, it's got a flamethrower built by hand by the filmmakers. Check it out below.

WARNING: This scene is a pseudo-spoiler. This was my favorite scene in the film. The surprise of the efficiency of the flamethrower was what really made this scene effective and memorable for me. I know that had I seen this scene prior to seeing the film, the cinematic joy that I had watching the scene in its context would have been ruined mildly. Also, this is one of the major narrative points that the film builds up to and is arrived at in this scene.
