DEDfest in Edmonton, Alberta announced their final four films today for this year's edition of their young festival. Look forward to a four day weekend of thrills and chills in the city of champions at the end of the month. There are a lot of Twitch faves in this lineup.
The festival opens with Norwegian creature feature Troll Hunter and John Ladis' Burke and Hare. Day two finds Canuck monster melee flick Monster Brawl, Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2 and a special 30th anniversary screening of John Carpenter's Escape From New York. Day three you can see Jame Gunn's Super, Tak Sakaguchi's Yakuza Weapon, low-fi creature feature Millenium Bug, horror anthology Chillerama then top off the night with a screening of the original 1985 Fright Night. Then on the final day you can see Yudai Yamaguchi's Deadball, Bangkok Knockout, the Dutch holiday slasher flick Saint and The Woman will close down the festival.
