Watch out jive mother f*ckers, Black Dynamite is hitting Adult Swim on August 8th.
The cult hit movie has been turned into an animated series using the voices of the original stars and the pilot episode is coming soon to the Adult Swim website. We were proud to premiere the first stills from the show here at Twitch and new we get to see them in motion thanks to the first official trailer.
Directed by Scott Sanders the original live action film cast Michael Jai White as a hard living, hard loving, kung fu fighting former CIA operative who now spends his time fighting against The Man. It was a hilarious send up of kung fu and blaxploitation film delivered with tongue planted firmly in cheek and the animated series looks to serve up more of the same. Checkk the trailer below.

Finally! Let us hope that this will spark interest in a live action sequel!
The pilot is awesome, it's non stop action and comedy. I saw it at Meltdown comic's panel discussion with the film's creators (I'm sure you could find the podcast somewhere). There is already an interest in a sequel.
I dunno 'bout that shit man.
Of course I can't judge the show 'till I've seen it, but what I'm seeing in this trailer is all the goofy kung-fu and boob jokes that the movie had, but none of the cleverness that made it one of the best comedies of the last few years.
