The Grudge, Marebito and Ju-On director Takashi Shimizu is coming back to America. But he may not enjoy the flight, not if it's anything like the pitch for his just-announced English language project Flight 75.
Still in very early days - just a treatment at the moment - Flight 75 will tell the story of a cross-Pacific flight plagued by some sort of supernatural force. CBS Films are backing the picture with Taka Ichise (Ringu, Ju-On), Roy Lee (The Grudge) and Steven Schneider (Insidious) producing.
It's been a while since we've experience Shimizu at his best but when the man brings his A-game he's one of the absolute best in the world at manipulating mood, tone and space and this sort of situation could be absolutely ideal for him.
