There was a brief period back in the 70s (the "porno-chic" era) when porn films had explicit posters in some parts of the world and these were being displayed somewhat prominently (most often with stars pinned on the explicit parts). I didn't want to include any posters from that era, nor VHS/DVD covers.
If you look closely, included are films by Jean-Luc Godard and Claude Chabrol, and most played Venice or Cannes festivals even if it's not mentioned on the poster (Beau-pere for example, which created a big controversy in competition at Cannes and all over the world, back then). What I mean to say is that these posters have serious arthouse credit or are extremely well known, and I don't believe that's the case with any pinku film. I could be wrong, anyone care to mention any specific examples?
