Though there's already a bit of a stink around the upcoming X-Men: First Class thanks to a crappy marketing campaign don't expect any of that to stick to Michael Fassbender. Done with his part as Magneto on X-Men, Fassbender is currently at work on Prometheus with Ridley Scott and it appears that his next film after that is sliding into place.
According to Variety Fassbender is currently in talks to star in art heist flick Trance for director Danny Boyle. Shooting is scheduled to start in September but will be interrupted by Boyle's previous commitment to direct the opening ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012, meaning the film would not be ready for release until 2013. Very few details are available about the film thus far but most are expecting a return to the darker territory of Shallow Grave and Trainspotting.
