Jean Claude Van Damme Playing The Villain In THE EXPENDABLES 2?

It was the biggest single question asked about Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables: Why wasn't Jean Claude Van Damme in this all star collection of 80s action heroes? Well, it appears that nobody will be asking that question about The Expendables 2.

Sheldon Lettich - the writer of both Bloodsport and Rambo III and a long time associate of Van Damme - has told JCVD fan site VanDammeFan.net that the Belgian star has accepted a role in The Expendables 2 and that he will be playing one of the principal villains. Which could very easily mean that we will see Van Damme squaring off head to head with Sylvester Stallone for the first time in their careers.

As always with these things this should be considered a rumor until it is officially confirmed by the production company but there is no doubt at all that the information actually came from Lettich and that Lettich is in a position to know, so it's about as reliable as these things can be,

Outstanding!

Nice, now put Steven Seagal doing a evil Nico taking revenge on the system, haha, and Michael Jai White and Scott Adking as the new members of the bunch.
Would be nice to see the fighting this time around.

let's hope this movie is better, and will it be 18 or PG?

As I understand it, JCVD was offered a major villain role in THE EXPENDABLE but when he realised that he would have to fight Jet Li and LOSE he turned it down. Steven Seagal is a crazy person and nobody wants to work with him, I just hope Kurt Russell decides that he is now ready to do "ensemble work" and joins in the fun, and that young whipper snapper Scott Adkins is given the limelight that everyone who knows him agrees he deserves.

This is great news - let's not forget, Van Damme is a very, very good actor indeed.
