While US distributors continue to waver on whether Joe Cornish's scifi-action-horror-comedy Attack The Block can be released on this continent as is or needs some additional help - i.e. subtitles - to help the locals keep up, there's no such problem in the UK where the PR campaign for the film continues to pick up speed. And, as such, the fine lads at Empire today premiered a pair of new clips from the film.
These clips are bound to add a bit of fuel to the whole subtitle / don't subtitle debate as the accents are, indeed pretty thick but beyond that - and much more importantly - this thing just looks fun. Check them out below.Attack the Block' is a fast, funny, frightening action adventure movie that pits a teen gang against an invasion of savage alien monsters. It turns a London housing estate into a sci-fi playground. A tower block into a fortress under siege. And teenage street kids into heroes. It's inner city versus outer space.

I had no problem with the English in these clips. I hope it finds distribution out here w/o any further thought of subtitles. It's no "Don' You Go Rounin' Roun To Re Ro"
Had no trouble understanding the accents, though I can't say I'm too excited about the prospect of watching 14-year-old gangbanger-wannabes trying to act hard for two hours, aliens or no aliens.
