Montreal's Fantasia Festival has a long history with director Jason Eisener. The fest was proud to host the world premiere of Eisener's short film Treevenge, which went on to win an audience award before becoming a phenomenon at Sundance, and former festival programmer Karim Hussain served as the DP on Eisener's feature debut, Hobo With A Shotgun. So does it comes as any surprise that the festival is hosting a guest-laden Canadian premiere for Hobo? Not at all. Nor is it surprising that they've had the good sense to pair it in a double bill with cult splatter classic The Story Of Ricky, but this makes neither fact any less awesome. Here's the official word:

March 21st, 7:30 PM at Montreal's Scotiabank cinema, 4 days before it hits theatrical release.
