The second trailer to Alan Mak & Felix Chong's biographical martial arts film The Lost Bladesman has turned up via Mtime and unsurprisingly (yet still awesome), it has Donnie Yen delivering some blade-slashing action as the legendary warrior, Guan Yun Chang. Need I say more? Any chance we get to see Yen showcase his weaponry skills is always a major plus in my book. Its also worth noting that the official site has just been launched which contains a gallery and a downloadable mp3 to the theme song.
During the warring period of the three kingdoms, ancient China is in turmoil. To unify the country general CAO CAO, the real power behind the emperor, enlists the aid of the greatest warrior in the land GUAN YUN CHANG (Donnie Yen). However, Guan Yun Chang is a loyal friend of CAO CAO's enemy LIU BEI. To persuade the peerless warrior to fight, Cao Cao takes his beloved QI LAN (Sun Li) hostage. It arrives to theaters in China on April 28th. You'll the second trailer embedded below.
After leading Cao Cao's forces to victory Guan Yun Chang sets out with Qi Lan to rejoin Liu Bei. But now Cao Cao has deemed him too great a threat to live, and on the journey he must face all the forces at the emperor's command sent to destroy him.

Wahh! I’m very excited for this film. Looking forward to a film really taking on the complexity of Guan Yu. After seeing both trailers it is no doubt that Donnie was a good choice for the role. Everything looks really solid , especially from this second trailer. Can’t wait!
Pretty much what I expected. Less battles, more drama and a DIFFERENT narrative.
As far as action goes, I'm already anticipating this. Weaponry looks very traditional and refreshing which is surprising coming from Donnie who is more known for choreographing modern style fighting. Hopefully, this will showcase a new style of action and storytelling in this type of movie.
