Premiering Sunday, March 13th as part of the Midnighters program at SXSW, The Divide is the new film from Frontiere(s) and Hitman director Xavier Gens. Produced by Ross Dinerstein, Darryn Welch, Juliette Hagopian, and Nate Rollo the film plunges its audience immediately into a nightmarish apocalypse scenario with no hope in sight. Here's part of the synopsis from sales agents Content Film:
But you don't have to take their word for it. Or ours, either. Twitch is proud to host the exclusive online premiere of the film's stunning opening sequence. Get a taste for yourself below. When a cataclysmic explosion devastates New York, eight strangers take refuge in the basement of their apartment building, a converted fallout shelter designed by their paranoid superintendent Mickey. With just three connecting rooms it's barely big enough, but with stockpiles of food and water, the group are at least safe from the horrors outside, and they settle in and attempt to fathom the catastrophe that has ended the lives of so many of their loved ones.
With twists and turns throughout, and no way of knowing who will make it out alive, THE DIVIDE is an action packed psychological thriller that combines 'Assault on Precinct 13' with 'Lord of the Flies'. To survive the end of the world, you first must survive each other...

Did not disappoint! Looking forward to this one. I've been starved of good sci-fi of late.
Whoa this looks intense!
looks great.
I just hope that the story show us, at least, a bit of what is going on outside the bunker, while our charecter are trying to survive each other
It sure jumps in with both feet, doesn't it?
That's good. There'd be nothing worse for a movie like this to sit through a CLOVERFIELD-like opening 25 mintues of boring crap.
