Wanna Support IRON SKY And Get Cool Stuff? Here's How!

by J Hurtado, February 15, 2011 11:08 AM

We've covered upcoming Finnish sci-fi Nazis on the moon film, Iron Sky, quite a bit on these pages, but this tidbit has yet to be recorded.  We know from Todd's post a few days ago that principal photography has completed, but there is a lot left to do, especially on a film so VFX dependent as this one.  So, the makers of Iron Sky are offering well-wishers the opportunity to contribute to the Iron Sky fund, and get a little something back in return.

For a mere 300 euros, you can pre-order Iron Sky on Blu-ray/DVD combo with a few extra little perks:

Pre-order the exclusive collector's edition box of Iron Sky and be a shining beacon of hope and promise for all living on planet Earth.

When You Order, You Will Get:

- Blu-Ray Version of the Movie

- DVD Version of the Movie

- Extra DVD

- Certificate of Your Support

- Bookmark

- Ticket to the Premiere of Iron Sky

...and we will be adding more materials as perks, as our plans come to fruition (all the upgrades come to everybody who has bought the box, retroactively)

! IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER !

We will send you the content of Box of this Limited Iron Sky Product after the movie is completed You will be among the first people who receives Iron Sky on Blu-Ray.

If we fail to complete this movie for some reason. You will get your money back. Otherwise the order will be conclusive.

That's right!  You'll get a Blu-ray, DVD, certificate of support, and a ticket to the premiere of Iron Sky!  And, if for some odd reason they don't complete the film, you get your money back.

The Iron Sky website has several such deals, but this one was by far the coolest.  Unfortunately for me, I don't have 300 euros laying around, but if I did, this seems like a decent way to spend them.

Give all contributers a special "Contributors Edition" (only given to contributors and blatantly saying so on the box) instead of a "Collector's Edition" and a producer credit at the end of the film.

Then I'm tempted and might go for it!

Yeah 300 Euros is a lot of cashola for a generic box.

Besides, if they really want to get the money rolling in, offer a swag edition of the movie for 30 Euros and watch the money pour in.

Obama funded his Primary and Presidential wins with copious amounts of small donations.

So Iron Sky production team take note, it is better to get a flood of small donations than a few large ones....

Food for thought
