Black Lightning - the Russian flying car / superhero picture produced by Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov - hits VOD in North America next week and we've got an exclusive clip to whet the appetite.
The clip in question comes from a key moment of the film, shortly after leading man Dima has realized that the old Volga given to him by his father has the ability to fly. Haunted by the consequences of a particularly bad decision Dima decides to put his super powered car to use for good. Check it out below.

For those who can't or won't deal with rubbish you-bought-it-but-you-don't-actually-own-it VOD schemes, Universal's also releasing this title for you to physically possess on Region 1 DVD (no Blu-ray) Feb. 22.
Whoops... makes me think I maybe should have reviewed the BluRay of this I bought 6 months ago in the UK.
I still have to get used at the notion that we sometimes have films over here which aren't yet available stateside.
Wait a minute... Universal??
That gives a 90 % chance of... let's check.
Yes! By the looks of it this BluRay is regionfree! Not a mention or warning of region B anywhere on the package or the disc.
Subs in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Cantonese Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Swedish, Mandarin Chinese...
Speaking of Chinese, if you're still afraid the UK one might be region B (unfortunately I have no way to check), you can always buy the Hong-Kong release which sellers list as certified to work on region A players.
But my guess is it's the exact same disc.
