Other than Ian McShane as Blackbeard - an inspired bit of casting - I fail to see anything in the Super Bowl trailer for Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides that would entice me to go out and see it. Not that it looks bad, just that it looks awfully repetitive. Though, that said, The Boy will probably love it. Creatures, pirates, Johnny Depp acting drunk. Yup. This is a Pirates movie.
I really liked the first film but thought the sequels were a mess.
I'll go see this mainly for McShane. That guy should be in everything.
I skipped #'s 2 and 3. But the new one actually looks like it might be fun. I'll give it a go.
