Only when a poster tickle our fancy is when we give it much-deserving love here. A teaser poster with just your average title logo in large fonts and listing the big-name stars attached doesn't cut it. There needs to be something intriguing to grab our undivided attention. I reckon the first poster to The Lost Bladesman is worthwhile enough to plug for the sole fact that it reveals Donnie Yen in full battle gear as China's greatest warrior, Guan Yun Chang. Other actors not yet shown include Jiang Wen as warlord Cao Cao, Alex Fong Chung-Sun as Liu Bei and Sun Li as Qi Lan, a young woman not in the original story.
During the warring period of the three kingdoms, ancient China is in turmoil. To unify the country general CAO CAO, the real power behind the emperor, enlists the aid of the greatest warrior in the land GUAN YUN CHANG (Donnie Yen). However, Guan Yun Chang is a loyal friend of CAO CAO's enemy LIU BEI. To persuade the peerless warrior to fight, Cao Cao takes his beloved QI LAN (Sun Li) hostage.It hits theaters in China on April 28th. You'll find a large version of the poster in our gallery below.
After leading Cao Cao's forces to victory Guan Yun Chang sets out with Qi Lan to rejoin Liu Bei. But now Cao Cao has deemed him too great a threat to live, and on the journey he must face all the forces at the emperor's command sent to destroy him.
