To all those naysayers of remakes, you may have a change of heart on this one. A teaser trailer with our first look at the actual footage to Wilson Yip's romance/supernatural film A Chinese Fairy Tale (formly A Chinese Ghost Story) has arrived online and you can color me impressed. Adapted from Pu Songling's classic short story, it centers on a lowly tax collector who encounters and falls in love with a beautiful ghost but standing in their way of being happily together is a soul-sucking demon sect. The cast include Louis Koo, Liu Yifei, Yu Shaoqun, Fan Siu-Wong, Kara Hui and Lin Peng.

It doesn't look bad but I'd still rather just have the original on Blu-ray. A real Blu-ray, not a 480p Kam and Ronson/Fortune Star pile of crap as was just released in HK.
well, color me unimpressed. whats that with the feline eyes in the end? what an ugly efffect. that tree looks kinda cheap. and i hope the don't stretch that head over heals-thing more than they already do in the teaser.
