What can you accomplish with three hundred dollars? Rather a lot if you also happen to have a good working knowledge of digital effects and a decent amount of time on your hands. So proves director and effects man Michael Ashton with Lazy Teenage Superheroes, a twelve minute short following a group of super powered teens who just want to spend their afternoon getting drunk and high but keep being interrupted by a succession of villains.
Ashton has just released the full short online and while it's not without its bumps and wobbles it's a pretty damn impressive demonstration of what you can do with time and know how. Check it out below.

Bravo! This was awesome. Loved the characters, powers and the chemistry between the cast. I can totally see this on Adult Swim. The production values are on par with many of the shows they air. A nice boost in the budget and this could be a fun series.
