Ah, now this is more like it.
Last week a 'music video' was released from Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan and it was ... odd. Though loaded with striking imagery from the striking film it was a weirdly paced, strangely lurching affair that shifted gears seemingly at random.
But now we get something a little more conventional and a little more true to the feel of the film. Today Yahoo debuted a new clip from the film, one that comes just as the picture begins to build to its finale. It's the scene where Natalie Portman takes to the stage before an audience for the first time embodying the spirit of the Black Swan in Swan Lake - the sinister, seductive, powerful swan.
Of course this bit is most effective when you've seen Portman's portrayal of the innocent and naive White Swan first and watched as she struggles to get in touch with the darker sides of her own nature, but whether you see the full transformation here or not the clip is more than enough to demonstrate just how strong Portman's performance in the film is. Check it below.
