If I had to pick just one word to sum up the look and feel of the second trailer for John Woo and Su Shao-Bin's Reign of Assassins that word would be timeless. This is Michelle Yeoh back in her element with film makers aiming for - and seemingly hitting - a look and feel that is elegant and classic without feeling old. Very nice. Check it out below for a taste of old school wuxia done right.

Oh man, don't make me go up in my hopes for a true return to wuxia cinema. I've been waiting for something like that for a while now.
Looks very good and finally they put some insight into the story too.
But facial surgery? I'm not sure wether this idea is great or stupid.
Looks like something I´d like to see this evening.
"The first martial arts actioner from John Woo"?
Sooo... his Shaw-Brothers career doesn't count? ;)
Wow, that's looking all kinds of nice.
looks so so my ass todd.
this looks good! too bad it reviewed too much man:/
damn director
and what is this Mubi sh*?
i just saw the movie. after a confusing start that had me fearing for the worst (not for the action or visuals) it suddenly did everything right, created some mystery and a tragedy of shakespearan proportions all sprinkled with some of the best wire-fu swordfighting I have seen in a long time. cuts are a little too quick for my taste but there is - for me - no doubt about it: this is a classic, must-by, will-watch-100-times all-out awesome joy-and-tear inducing epic. Another step on the "right" track for John Woo.
Just read the Variety review, which casually mentioned that the Weinsteins were "tinkering" with this film prior to their US release.
