Much as we love Sean Byrne's The Loved Ones - and we really, really love it - we've been caught in the somewhat awkward position of wanting people not to watch the full, official trailer. It's not that it doesn't present the film, it's that it presents way too much. Happily, life is better with the two clips that have just released.
So ... want a sense of Byrne's school dance gone wrong opus? Here's your chance. Check the clips below.

I dunno, Todd. These 2 clips tell me nothing about the film. I think the effect is completely opposite from the trailer showing too much. I wouldn't be interested at all in this film based on these 2 clips/teasers alone.

Looking forward to seeing this at FrightFest at the end of the month. Wish I hadn't seen the trailer however. Less is more.
This looks good. Can't wait to see it.
Just for information, 'The Loved Ones' gets a DVD & Blu-Ray release here in the UK very soon, on 4th October in fact, through the distribution company 'Optimum Releasing'. It's already up for pre-order at the usual places.
This came as something of a nice surprise; I'd been keeping an eye on the Australian distributors website for this film and (wrongly) assumed that it would be a fair while before this surfaced anywhere on DVD, as I believe that it only begins it's general release in Aussie Cinema's in early November but, lo and behold, we get it a few weeks from now!
