Having seen the teaser for this at San Diego recently (as well as the truly impressive prologue sequence) the Troy Nixey-directed remake of the 1973 TV movie has shot up to the top of my list of most anticipated movies of 2011. Now the teaser is live via IGN to whet all of your appetites.

Have always enjoyed Troy Nixey's comic book art. Hope the transition to film is as entertaining. Judging from Latchkey's Lament, Nixey has quite a grasp for direction. For me the original don't be afraid of the dark tv film is one of the best examples of effectively crafting eerie atmosphere on the small screen.
The man definitely knows how to write scary.
