So, Alex Aja's hungry little fish are out there nibbling away on everything right now while I have been spending my day at home being parental with the boy. i.e. playing a lot of non-fish related video games. So you tell me: Am I missing anything? Is Aja's latest busty or just a bust? The word so far seems to be pretty glowing - minus some comments about dodgy CGI and yet another crappy post-conversion to 3D job - but I want to hear from you. Have you seen it? And what did you think?
Saw it last night at the midnight showing and was impressed! In fact, I think I'm going to take a buddy to see it this week. The story is irrelevant, but some of the characters are fantastic, particularly Jerry O'Connell's and Christopher Lloyd in full Doc Brown insanity mode. The attacks and kills are creative, the CGI is a bit iffy, but the production plays them off as such and most of the attacks appear as rapid blurry messes, which kinda works. The real stars of this film are KNB, the work they did on the wet t-shirt massacre and aftermath reminded me of the party scene from Dead Alive, it is that good. I can't wait to see it again!
This movie was incredibly fun. I went with a bunch of friends and we all had a great time at the movies.
