While I confess to not having seen the previous two films in the trilogy concluded by Paul Tanter's Jack Falls I certainly like what I'm seeing in the trailer for this one. Stylish photography, a gritty noir tone, a hard edged anti-hero, believable action and a few familiar faces, like Jason Flemyng. Here's the official word:
No, I have no idea what that opening sentence means, either. But check the trailer below.
Returning to complete the first ever seperately made for film release trilogy of British films, comes Jack Falls, the film noir follow up to Jack Said and Jack Says and final installment in Jack's downward journey. Surviving a murder attempt in Amsterdam, former undercover police officer Jack Adleth returns to London to seek revenge and settle some old scores, but he soon finds himself in danger not just from his former criminal associates, but his old police colleagues too. As he battles to stay alive, he must also deal with the guilt from the consequences of his undercover life.
Shot in high contrast black and white with splashes of colour, Jack Falls is reminiscent of Sin City, but with a more gritty, real edge. The film stars Tamer Hassan (The Business, Layer Cake), Simon Phillips (Jack Said, Jack Says), Alan Ford (Snatch), Olivia Hallinan (Lark Rise to Candleford, Sugar Rush), Dexter Fletcher (Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Stardust), Adam Deacon (Adulthood, Kidulthood), Doug Bradley (Hellraiser), Zach Galligan (Gremlins), Jason Flemying (Lock Stock, Kick Ass) and Martin Kemp (The Krays).

Yeah that is a very odd first sentence. Looks interesting and again, I'm feeling the urge to find the first films. Todd, you are a big time-sink in my life. Please stop pointing out interesting and or cool things that I then have to find the earlier/historic components of!
Looks more like HDcam Noir instead of Film Noir though. Kinda cheap looking. Not that that is bad. Give Em Hell Malone had sort of the same feel but was a great movie.
Quite a few interesting cameos there. Even Martin Kemp! Keeping the flames in colour was a nice touch.
Saw this last night - what a disappointment. Found it a vanity project full of ghastly cliches. Looked very cheap, and the comment about HDcam noir is absolutely pin on. Couldn't believe how bad it was, thankfully this is the final part of the trilogy.
