After the success of There Will Be Blood you would have thought that investors would be lining up to throw money at Paul Thomas Anderson. But they haven't. Instead Anderson has spent the past three years trying to get his next film - titled The Master - off the ground.
Why so long? Because it is apparently a sort of riff on the founding of Scientology with Philip Seymour Hoffman set to play the L. Ron Hubbard character, known here simply as The Master. Word is that Jeremy Renner may also be in line for a key role, which seems a very good choice both in terms of Renner's level of talent and his ability to fit into Anderson's distinct worlds.
But if potential investors have been feeling edgy about the potential of getting sued apparently they've gotten over it because CHUD is reporting that the film is finally good to go and will begin shooting next month. For our part, Twitch is reporting that more Anderson is a very good thing.

"For our part, Twitch is reporting that more Anderson is a very good thing."
I COULDN'T AGREE MORE!!
Especially when someone as morally contentious (being a good thing) as Anderson is making a film about the hypocrisy that is that "religion".
I never saw There will be blood, i heard Bill the butcher is in it.
