The Goon follows the adventures of a muscle-bound brawler who claims to be the primary enforcer for a feared mobster. The stories have a paranormal and comedic edge to them and concern ghosts, zombies, mad scientists and "skunk apes."The film is currently in early pre-production. Great song by Southern culture on the skids and a nice trailer too!
Looks good
Mmm yea thats it....Southern Culture. I was thinking Butthole Surfers at first.
Looks fun but why doesn't Frankie have any pupils?
I've read most of THE GOON stuff. While this nails the characters visually, there's something lifeless about this rendering. It's like it's too quiet or something, there's no movement and organic nature to the world they are in. There's something off with the sound design, and the actors' voices don't reflect any ambience, it sounds like they are right up in your ear even if the character is across the room.
I don't know if the clips just aren't completed or if the overall vibe of the film is going to be this empty, but I'm not super impressed at this point.
