Soon to have its world premiere at the Fantasia Festival in Montreal, the full trailer for Jon Knautz's follow up to Jack Brooks Monster Slayer has just arrived via Shock Til You Drop.
The Shrine is a completely different film tonally than was Jack Brooks, this one playing as a serious minded horror picture. Sure, the 80's influence is still prominent but the feel is completely different.

Check the trailer below! After a young American backpacker goes missing in Europe, three journalists link his disappearance to a remote Polish village called Alvaina. Upon further investigation, the journalists discover that Alvaina has a history of bizarre cult activity revolving around human sacrifice. Hell bent on discovering the truth, they travel to the small village, but quickly find themselves pursued by a mysterious group set on killing them. Forced into the gruesome reality of true survival horror, the journalists soon discover that Alvaina hides a much darker secret than they could ever imagine.

Holy crap! I live in Poland and we don't have any village that goes by the name of Alvaina. I guess they chose this name because it sounds a bit Slavic or sth. The trailer looks decent, still more mutilated people, monsters and human sacrifice would be appreciated.
