BG FILMS: BLOOD AND LOVE anyone? How about DINNER WITH AN ASSASSIN?

by Canfield, July 22, 2010 11:16 AM

I hardly know where to begin so I'm just going to post this press release as is. I've really enjoyed low budget stuff like Mirage Man and the like over the years and I just saw the trailer for Dinner With An Assassin. I am officially intrigued enough to keep tabs on these guys. They seem to know exactly what level of energy they can sustain on a budget and I'm curious what thy would do with some real money.

HIGH-OCTANE ACTION PIC SET FOR HOT SHOOT IN THE BRICK CITY
Triple Helmer Takes the Reins on Blood & Love
July 21, 2010- Newark, NJ - In the early stages of pre-production, the newest full-length feature from BG Films is under way. Blood & Love, written and set to be directed by New Jersey native Bobby Guions, the company's founder, is poised for principal filming as of mid-August in the city of Newark.  This 90-minute power ride, the second action-adventure offering from the Guions' group, showcases the filmmaker's unique style of hard-hitting storylines combined with fierce and well-executed action sequences.

"Blood & Lust personifies my signature style, which gets more refined with each picture I make," stated Guions.  "Having Newark as my hometown and completely knowing its streets add another dimension that allows BG Films to continue to build its brand."

Blood & Love
tells the story of an assassin, who, before he can identify and eliminate his target, meets and finds himself falling in love with a beautiful young woman.  When the hired gun discovers that his new love interest is the intended prey, he struggles with finishing the job.  Assassin and target are then both marked for death by bad guy Havoc (Raw LeibaConan), hired by the client to out-kill the killer.  "I'm excited and honored to be playing the role of Havoc," said Leiba.  "In addition to allowing me to exhibit my special talents, it's a chance for me to bring the director's vision of the character to life."

Set to create special effects for the project, and also headquartered in New Jersey, GZ Entertainment boasts credits that include Fast and Furious, Bad Boys 2 and Men in Black.  Remarked Brian Schuley, GZ's founder and the special effects coordinator/fight choreographer for the film: "I'm always excited to work with someone from the same part of the country, but sharing the same ideas and convictions about filmmaking is rare.  I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of on-screen chemistry is going to happen."

BG Films, formed by Bobby Guions following the success of his first feature, Moving Target, is a New Jersey-based independent film production company.  Also produced by the company, Dinner with an Assassin was the recipient of multiple film festival awards.  For additional information and a list of the company's projects, please visit BG FILMS .

This sounds like a great role for Raw Leiba whom I've always felt had the perfect action hero/villian type persona and a physique to die for,Im proud to say ive been a fan of his since I saw him on THE WIRE and felt like he should be mentioned in the same vein if not higher as his friend Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, this sounds great I know I and alot of other fans have been waiting.
