David Michôd's
Animal Kingdom really is that good.
A slow burning, richly detailed of a low level Australian crime family slowly, inevitably decomposing and turning on one another, it is one of the most arresting debut films to come along in years and surely marks Michôd as a writer and director to watch for years to come.
Driven by a sharp script and a fistful of even sharper performances, Animal Kingdom took the top prize at Sundance and will soon be coming to screens across North America. And that means a new trailer. Check it below.

Please, please, use the original poster and not this disturbing-and-yet-boring at the same time one! (o_O)
I wish I'd got to this first - if only to warn readers that this trailer is pretty spoiler heavy, and to recommend they go in fresh, not knowing the machinations of the plot and knife twists of the characters.
When I first saw the film I really regretted having read so damn much about the film beforehand, as some of the film's surprises should really be left unknown so as to punch you in the guts when you least expect them.
