So Crazy-Ass Bizarre It Might Just Be True: Die Antwoord's Yo-Landi Vi$$er Up For The Lisbeth Salander Role In Fincher's DRAGON TATTOO Remake.

This is so bizarre it might actually be true.

David Fincher has apparently been telling people that Yo-Landi Vi$$er, the tiny female singer of South African rap group Die Antwoord, fits his image of what Girl With The Dragon Tattoo heroine Lisbeth Salander should look and act like. Does this mean he's hoping to cast Vi$$er herself or merely that he intends to use her as a template? That part's less clear but for an example of why this would be so brain melting, watch the video below. Heh. Even if you don't care at all about how the Fincher film eventually turns out, do yourself a favor by watching the video below anyway.

I can see where Fincher is coming from though, as far as his take on the character, and what her "type" is in his mind. I don't know if I would agree though.

Crazy idea or not, she actually does have the physique described in the books.

According to the writer, Lisbeth Salander looks like a fourteen-year old boy most of the time when she doesn't want to draw attention to herself. In the second book doctors even confirm she has an underdeveloped body.
