On the eve of Animal Kingdom's gala screenings at the LA film Festival, Sony Pictures Classics has released the US poster for David Michôd's Australian crime drama.
It's an interesting effort from Sony, but nowhere near as malevolent and atmospheric as the Carravaggio inspired Australian poster, featuring the revenge-plotting Cody clan and Guy Pearce's Detective Leckie.
After premiering to rave reviews and taking out the dramatic jury prize for world cinema Sundance Film Festival, the film has since gone on to become a critical and commercial hit in its home country, and is set for a US release on August 13, with a UK release to follow in October.
Thanks to the folks at HitFix for the heads up.
Animal Kingdom screens at the Los Angeles Film Festival on 23 & 25 June.
