Here comes a second trailer for Canadian genetic engineering genre-mash Splice, and this one is leaps and bounds ahead of the first one.  As we get closer to release time in June, they are not so much selling the picture on the  jump scares (of which there are very few) and gets more into the relationship between the creators and creation (the main thrust of the film), as well as the implications of letting loose a new species -a developing collection of a lot of different spare parts - A Frankenstein's monster for the 21st century.  And this one is much cuter than Boris Karloff.

Continues to look great, looking forward to it.

On a side note, what's up with all the pop-ups and click-out ads on Twitch lately? That annoying The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus one was positively horrendous.

Splice: Looks great!
The ads: Eh. They are irritating, but I suppose they pay the bills, no harm done.

This is the type of film I wish John Carpenter was making.
Looking damned good...

Saw the movie @ Sci-fi L. yesterday, All right movie, though it felt like the story line seemed a bit rushed at the beginning, moreso the movie didnt leave any room to either eclipse or surpass my expectations.

I haven't heard a very positive review of the film yet, but I'm holding out hope! I've loved everything Natali has done so far, and this does look right up my alley.

Read my Review on the film (Sitges '09 review link above in the post), I'd say it was a full blown RAVE of the film! It's great if you like offbeat but savvy genre pleasures.

Thanks Kurt, I must have missed that. Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much!

Hmm strangely, it sort of reminds me of 20 Million Miles to Earth.

That's a great trailer much more pro the first one. Makes me think it might be able to make a few bucks in the theater.
