Remaking Johnny To's Breaking News, with a well-regarded Swedish director and a Russian setting, only a few years after the original had been in cinemas was always a strange decision. No matter, Anders Banke's Newsmakers has finally made its way to the UK on DVD and Blu-ray, with the support of a thoroughly action-focused trailer. As is often the way over here, the trailer has avoided any dialogue whatsoever so as to cunningly hide that this is a foreign, subtitled movie... Though dumbing down a release narks me, it does offer a different preview of the film that you may not have seen.
