Some very interesting news here on a possible collaboration between Japanese cult director Sion Sono and much loved video game director Suda 51 on No More Heroes and Killer 7 fame. Suda 51 was recently interviewed at My Big Fat Geek Running, where Suda's recent inclusion of a Takashi Miike cameo in his latest effort prompted the interviewer to ask if he had any future plans to collaborate with more directors. Sion Sono, for example, would seem like a good fit. His response?
This meeting happened just post-Love Exposure which would make the 'next film' in question Sono's serial killer thriller Cold Fish. It's all speculative at this point but if it happens then Sono could be coming to a console near you soon ..."I met him last year in fact, we went for dinner. I told him how much he'd inspired me with his movies, and he said 'Well actually, if you're interested you can adapt my next movie into a video game. So hopefully I'm doing that next, I really want to make it happen!"
