First things first. Sincerest apologies to the staff of Oklahoma Horror Film Festival, the city of Tulsa and all who were offended by my previous attempt to promote this first year film festival. It nose dived spectacularly and the end product was by no means an indication of how pleased I was to promote a new horror film festival. I did a dandy job of making an ass of myself and I hope this makes amends...

As much as horror films push boundaries there is no denying extent of their reach and influence are boundless. And horror film fans are the same everywhere. You give us a room, a date and a time and we will gather en mass to fest on such cinematic delights. It is a cinematic experience that you simply don't get with NetFlix or OnDemand. And some fine folks in Tulsa, Oklahoma want to do that community a great service and host the first ever Oklahoma Horror Film Festival this Labor Day weekend.

Come join us in Tulsa, Oklahoma as we celebrate the 1st year of the Oklahoma Horror Film Festival over Labor Day Weekend. It's our goal to create a festival that not only focuses on the genre of horror, but a festival that sheds light on the art behind the film through a variety of unique contests, workshops, panels, and celebrity speakers. While most festivals only have film or screenwriting competitions, we realize there are many other elements that support and create the film experience. This is why we have a storyboarding, poster, trailer, and even a graphic novel competition and are so excited to see what you come up with.

As the film industry re-envisions distribution models, we are taking note and trying to re-invent the festival experience. We can't wait for your submissions!

There you have it. They can only do it if they have films so the call is out to all horror filmmakers to submit their films and support this new film festival. And all you artists out there as well. OHFF will also have contests for aspiring storyboard, graphic novel and poster artists. Get cracking and submit to the Oklahoma Horror Film Festival

Great job Andrew! I prefer this review much more and I really do appreciate you making amends and giving the article another shot. It says a lot about a person's character. You could of just deleted the old one and left it at that, but you did the classy thing instead. I applaud you. As for the festival, I hope it is as great as it can possibly be and that it finds a huge amount of success.

I only just saw this, but this is more than I was expecting. While I don't feel you needed to apologize, I appreciate your sensitivity and am sure that others do as well. Like I said before, from your articles, I know you're a stand-up guy, and am happy to see you make amends. Let's hope this festival is a success!
